Lush 'Celebrate' Body Lotion Review!

Lush's Celebrate body lotion is part of their limited edition collection for Christmas time, and boy is it festive! Complete with a dash of cognac added to the zingy orange scent, the smell alone is perfect to get you in the party mood.

The lotion is scented with Brazilian Orange Oil, Lime Oil, Cognac Oil, and Orange Flower Absolute. These combine for a zesty, fruity scent with just the right amount of liqueur hint. The fragrance leans more toward the orange than the lime, and smells good enough to eat (but don't eat it, obviously, ha).

Celebrate's moisterising ingredients are Almond Oil and Cocoa Butter - typical of Lush's lotions, and why they're one of my favourite brands. I love the use of natural ingredients in their products, they are so, so good for the skin.

Although described as a lotion, the consistency of the product is much closer to a cream which makes it more nourishing than the average lotion for dryer skin types. It does, however, spread as easily as a lotion over the skin, and sinks in just as well and quickly - the best of both worlds (:

I don't normally pick up zesty, citrus-y scented products such as this one, but it's different from your usual orange and lime combo. It's more fruity and the cognac note gives it a wonderful festive feel. I'll definitely be picking up another one next year if it's around.

I believe Celebrate is now all sold out online, but you may still be able to pick up a pot in your local Lush shop.

Have you tried Celebrate, or any of Lush's other Christmas Limited Editions? What did you think of them?
